International Testing Alliance (ITA) is pleased to announce an important development in the delivery of foreign law examinations in Pakistan.
The Directorate of Legal Education, Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), through its notification dated 9 September 2026, has formally identified British Council and International Testing Service (ITS) as approved agencies for conducting examinations for foreign law programmes in Pakistan.
The notification follows amendments to the Legal Education Rules, 2015, which require recognised teaching centres offering foreign law programmes to provide details of their examination arrangements, including the examination system and the organisation responsible for conducting examinations.
International Testing Alliance (ITA), a subsidiary of International Testing Service (ITS), welcomes this development and is committed to supporting the delivery of secure, professionally managed and internationally aligned examinations for foreign law programmes in Pakistan.
Through its examination delivery capabilities, ITA aims to work with international universities, awarding bodies, law institutions and other stakeholders to facilitate reliable and compliant examination services across Pakistan.
This development represents an important step towards strengthening the infrastructure and governance supporting international legal education and assessment in the country.
